Tom Sandoval Explains Why It’s “Tough” to Talk to Ariana Madix
Plus, hear Ariana explain why she wanted Tom to fertilize her eggs despite her not changing her mind about having kids.
Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix shared an intimate look into their relationship troubles during the April 19 episode of Vanderpump Rules.
The two had a sit-down conversation and began by discussing Ariana’s frozen eggs, which she had been wanting Tom to fertilize. As she explained in an episode interview, “Two years ago, I froze my eggs and I was able to retrieve 26 of them, which is really, really good. Like, incredible. Good job, ovaries.”
That said, “My stance on all things related to being pregnant [and] giving birth has not really changed,” Ariana added. “It’s just that I don’t like biological clocks having the power to run anything. And those eggs, they are more viable as fertilized embryos.”
But Tom, despite previously expressing a strong desire to have children, was seemingly on the fence. “When Ariana asked me to fertilize her eggs, I was excited,” he said in a confessional. “I was like, ‘Yeah, sure, I’ll do it!’”
Now, as he put it, “Why would Ariana want me to fertilize her eggs when we might or might not have kids, whatever she decides?”
Tom didn’t push the question in conversation with Ariana, but he did ask, “Are we ever gonna even use these eggs for anything?” And she responded, “Maybe, maybe not.”
The two went on to discuss the logistics of the process, but Tom eventually became frustrated, telling Ariana, “It’s tough sometimes to talk to you about stuff ’cause you never agree with me.”
“It feels like, for the past few months, I will explain to you a situation, I’ll explain my point of view, and it feels like, to me, that you are very quick to take the other person’s point of view when I tell you something,” Tom continued. “And I don’t want anybody to ever have my back unconditionally, but it just sometimes makes me feel that you question my intelligence. You think I’m an idiot in ways.”
“Tom, I wouldn’t be with anybody I thought was an idiot, first of all,” Ariana replied before joking, “And second of all, if I thought you were an idiot, I would be so f--king nice to you all the time because I would be like, ‘Awww.’”
Still, “Sometimes, I feel like I just annoy you,” Tom said.
“We’ve been together for a long time,” Ariana concluded. “I can only imagine how annoying I am.”
