How Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, and Lala Kent Are an “Unconventional Modern Family”
Scheana opened up about their dynamic after the trio shared an emotional conversation on the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules.
Lala Kent and Brock Davies didn’t exactly hit it off when he first began dating Scheana Shay, but the March 29 episode of Vanderpump Rules proved that the pair have come a really long way. As Lala herself put it, “Brock and I had a very rough start… [but] I’ve realized situations are not black-and-white.”
Discussing said “situations” and their prior drama while out to dinner with Scheana, Lala told Brock, “I’m so happy that you are where you are right now, but truth be told, it was never my place to do any of that.”
“I wish I could say I agree,” he responded, “but to be honest, that’s what good friends do.”
And the two have indeed become good friends in recent months, largely due to Lala, Scheana, and their daughters being inseparable. “Brock is an incredible husband to Scheana. He’s an amazing dad,” Lala said in an emotional confessional. “And the way that he treats my baby, I really love that dude a lot.”
Back in her conversation with Brock and Scheana, he started to get teary-eyed as well. “I do have a past and I’m not proud of that, but I know for a fact that I’m not going to make those mistakes moving forward,” Brock said. “And I promise you I learned from it, and I think we got there because then you had your experiences. I don’t mind being held to a standard, because I want to be that standard for everybody around me.”
Lala once again apologized for the way she “approached the situation,” and from there, the tears just kept flowing. In a confessional of her own, Scheana explained, “Lala and I have made so much progress in our friendship. We’ve even talked about getting a house here together, just raising the girls together, just having [an] unconventional, modern family sort of life.”
“Brock will absolutely help with both girls,” Scheana added, but with an important (and LOL-worthy) caveat: “The conjugal visits would be just me, obviously.”
The conversation concluded with Lala sharing her main goal when it comes to her daughter, Ocean. “I just have to maintain being a strong, independent mother that my daughter grows up and is like, ‘My mom went through hell and back and provided a great life for me,’” she said. “That’s all I care about.”
“Ocean will know,” Brock responded before telling her and Scheana, “You guys are good moms.”
