Here’s the Deal with Tom Schwartz and Jo, the Woman Who Was Recently Living with Him
After clarifying his status with his former roommate, Jo, Schwartz revealed that he is "kind of falling in love" with someone else.
When Tom Schwartz gave Scheana Shay a tour of his first post-divorce apartment on the February 22 episode of Vanderpump Rules, the "Good as Gold" singer was surprised to learn that the TomTom part owner wasn't exactly living alone.
After telling Scheana that he was "embarrassed" by all of the moving boxes sitting out in his new Valley Village digs, he revealed in the clip above that he was living with a female roommate named Jo Wenberg. When Scheana reacted to that piece of information, Schwartz assured her that their connection was "not like that."
He also shared that they had never hooked up before, "not even a little bit, not even like a micro-moment."
"Jo's my girl," he added, and Scheana noted in an interview that she "believe[d] him."
After the episode aired, Schwartz clarified his relationship with the hairstylist during a chat with Us Weekly.
"We're not living together [anymore] and we’re not dating either," he explained. "But she's just someone who I appreciate on a deep level, and she’s a really cool human being, and we’re just hanging out."
Though fans have wondered about Schwartz's friendship with Jo and he's been linked to Raquel Leviss (take a look at the Season 10 trailer below to see why) the Schwartz & Sandy's co-owner told the outlet that he's not yet ready to commit to a relationship at all. Instead, he's focusing on dating himself.
"I just got out of a 12-year relationship," he said, referencing his marriage to Katie Maloney, which came to an end in 2022. "I cannot be in a committed [relationship] — I can't dive back into another relationship. It wouldn't be fair to the other person 'cause I'm kind of consumed with, like, business and my family and I’m kind of falling in love with myself all over again."
Now that Schwartz is showing himself some love, he told Us Weekly that he feels like he's in a "good, healthy place right now."
His ex-wife is also in a happy place when it comes to her own dating life. On the February 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Katie revealed that she's been going younger in the wake of her divorce.
"They're all young; I like it," Katie explained about the type of guy she's been gravitating towards. "The young ones are kind of where it's at."
