Kate Chastain Has a New “Quarantine Hobby”: “Who Knew I Liked Land Life So Much?”
The Below Deck alum is letting fans into her life, and has some questions for herself.
If you were wondering what Kate Chastain has been up to these days while spending time down in Florida with her pup, Halo, the answer is that she's really gotten into sitting out in her yard and taking in the beauty of the nature around her.
The Below Deck alum, who has been spending her coronavirus (COVID-19) self-quarantine pandemic in Florida, opened up about her newfound love of the outdoors on Instagram Stories, while hanging out with her beloved pet by her side. "Guys, this is National Geographic in my backyard every day," she said, later adding, "You guys, it's official: I'm just turning into a complete hippie. Who knew I liked land life so much?"
Speaking of land life, fans will recall that the chief stew confirmed she was not returning to Below Deck back in February.
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new land based role," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I intend to step back as a senior member of the Below Deck Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support His Majesty Andy Cohen.”
Since then, Kate has been keeping fans up to date on her daily life. And while she's definitely getting in touch with a new side of herself, weeks back she noted that some things haven't changed: "It wasn’t until I wrapped a scarf around my head like a turban/ put on overalls to go plant some new ferns and flowers that I passed a mirror and realized......i don’t even know who I am anymore," she joked on Instagram. "Honestly I just decided on the overalls so I wouldn’t have to wear a bra and I’m still drinking champagne so I guess I haven’t gone full green acres yet."
