What's Next for NeNe Leakes?
The #RHOA star has a few projects up her stylish sleeve.
NeNe Leakes has certainly left her impression on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. But like all good things, NeNe has decided that her time on the show has come to an end.
She will be missed, but she's hardly going anywhere. NeNe has already teased that she'll take her post-RHOA time "to spread my wings and do different things.” Which means she remains one very busy lady. Here's what else the former RHOA star has lined up.
1. Nene Leakes Collection
As she bids a fond farewell to her RHOA days, she'll continue to promote her fashion line, which she launched with HSN last year. NeNe also designs more casual and sassy t-shirts and accessories, which she sells on her website. She's also hosted pop-up shops, where she shows up, hangs with fans and sells her designs. And given how many fashionistas turn out to the events, we suspect more dates might be on the horizon.
2. More TV
NeNe is no stranger to popping up on the small screen, having worked with Ryan Murphy on The New Normal and Glee. She's also raked up some hosting time, filling in for Kelly Ripa on Live With Kelly and Michael in June. However, she's keeping her next project vague, which certainly has us intrigued. “I’m actually going to be doing a new primetime television show with a big legend,” she told People. "All of my fans will get to see me be really happy, witty and funny and tell all of those one liners that I have always said on Housewives.”
And while we can't wait to find out what that primetime gig might be, we do hope that perhaps NeNe might make time for the stage again. She's banked roles in Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity in Las Vegas, as well as Cinderella on Broadway.
3. Apps
NeNe's also recently expanded her empire with help from Kim Kardashian. Her avatar recently became the latest to appear in Kim's record-breaking app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. Could NeNe's own app be next?
And don't fret, RHOA fans. There's even a chance NeNe might pop up on the show in the future. “I’m not saying I’m gone forever,” she explained. “I’ll probably pop up and play with those girls every now and then.”
