Jax Taylor Partially Blames Brittany Cartwright for One of His Nose Jobs: "In Serious Pain"

Jax Taylor always wanted a nose job, he just never knew he'd have so many.

Jax Taylor isn’t afraid to go under the knife—and he’s proven that more than once.

How to Watch

Watch The Valley on Peacock.

The Vanderpump Rules alum — who will be appearing on new Bravo series The Valley when it premieres on March 19 — has never shied away from talking about the cosmetic procedures he’s had during his career in the spotlight, whether it’s the multiple nose jobs he’s had, his new set of teeth, or his regular rounds of Botox.

Here's an update on the work he's had done, and why.

Why did Jax Taylor get multiple nose jobs?

Over the years, Jax has not one, but at least three nose jobs.

As for why he wanted to tweak his physical appearance, the married father told Rolling Stone in May 2023 that he “always wanted a nose job.”

“I was a model and in the limelight, always wanted to fix this or that, and my friends are plastic surgeons, so why not? Right?” he said.

According to Jax, the reason he’s had multiple rhinoplasty procedures in the years since then has more to do with him being a bad patient than being on a constant quest for perfection.

“The reason why I got so many was because I never took the doctor’s advice after I got surgery. I went swimming. I walked into a door. I did everything you weren’t supposed to do, and that’s why I got so many,” he said.

Jax even admitted that on one occasion his passion for his wife, Brittany Cartwright, may be to blame for the second nose job.

“I was just starting to date Brittany at the time," he told PEOPLE last year. "I think it was like her second or third time coming to visit me and you know, we had relations ... or whatever, and she head-butted me by accident and it was like, like day two after my surgery and I was just like, 'Oh my God!' I was in serious pain. So that was part of one of the second nose jobs because I didn't listen basically.’

The romantic liaison had its upside. Jax and Brittany married and are the parents of a young son, Cruz, although they are currently separated.

What other cosmetic procedures has Jax Taylor had?

Fatherhood is part of the reason Jax has tried so hard to maintain his youthful appearance.

"You know, I'm a pretty open person. I'm a new father. I'm getting older and there's one thing in life that you cannot really beat, time and age," he told the outlet. "So the only thing we can do in life is try our best to slow it down by getting things done to make you look a little younger."

That includes regular appointments to get Botox “every four or five months” for a “little touch-up on my forehead” and a new set of veneers

"We're in the business of entertainment and again, I want to stay as young as I can for my kid and look decent," Jax said of his reason for his new pearly whites.  "So I was like, 'You know what, why not? Let's do it.' My teeth weren't the strongest anyway and I had silver fillings and all that."

Back in 2016, the former bartender also opened up about getting a non-invasive “Vanquish technique” to eliminate fat cells and sculpt his abs.

At the end of day, whether it’s a nose job or a little Botox, Jax is in full support of people feeling their best.

“If it makes you feel better, then know I'm all for it,” he told PEOPLE. “I don't think people should judge anybody. It's a personal thing. And if it makes you happy, then, you know, be proud. Talk about it."

Jax and Brittany will soon find themselves back in front of the camera for Bravo’s new series The Valley, which will follow “a group of close friends as they trade bottle service in West Hollywood for baby bottles in the Valley,” according to a press announcement.

The couple will join  Kristen Doute and  Luke Broderick, Danny and Nia Booko, Jesse and Michelle Lally, and Jason and Janet Caperna

The Valley will premiere in the Spring of 2024.
