Maybe This Is Why Below Deck Med's June Foster Doesn't Recognize Her Name on the Radio
It's Hannah Ferrier's "favorite excuse" in all her seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean.
The most challenging part of working with June Foster this season of Below Deck Mediterranean seems to be the lack of communication, at least according to Hannah Ferrier. Oftentimes when the chief stew puts out the now-iconic call, "June, June, Hannah," she doesn't receive any answer from the third stew in return.
June has given many possibilities of what the problem could be: her radio isn't working properly, she forgot to put her earpiece back in after it fell out, and she doesn't recognize her name when Hannah says it.
When Hannah heard that last reason, well, all she could do was laugh. "‘Maybe I can’t understand my name’" is by far my favourite excuse in 4 seasons of #belowdeckmed," she tweeted Monday night.
Hannah's fellow Sirocco crew members are just as flabbergasted by the whole thing, as you can see in the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4 After Show, above. But June said she still doesn't see the big deal. "There was way too much drama about the radio," she said in the Below Deck Med After Show. "I just want to laugh at it because it's so stupid. It's honestly so dumb."
Perhaps the reason why June couldn't recognize her own name being called out on the radio is because she has several nicknames — we mean like a lot. "Everyone calls me 'Junebug.' 'Junebug' or 'Buggie,' 'Buggaroo,' 'Juniebamboonie,' 'Juniper,' 'Juniper Moon,' 'Junio.' That might be it 'til I think of 20 more," she said in the Below Deck Med After Show. "There's a lot."
It sounds like June didn't want to be reached anyway. "It's like, OK, maybe the earpiece fell out of my ear, but just leave me alone. I don't need anybody. But yeah, maybe it fell out of my ear a couple of times," she said. "And the other times, I didn't hear anybody."
As we all continue to get to the bottom of this mystery, check out a sneak peek of what's coming up on Below Deck Med Monday at 9/8c, below.
