Why Rachel Zoe Dropped Out of Fashion Week
It's the first time in three years the stylist is missing the event.
Rachel Zoe—she's just like us!
In a move that most working parents can relate to, the stylist-turned-designer and Rachel Zoe Project star has decided to cancel her New York Fashion Week show to spend time with her family.
Rachel and husband Rodger Berman, already parents to two-year-old Skyler, welcomed son Kaius Jagger on Dec. 21. Rachel told Women's Wear Daily, "As a new mother, my newborn son is too young to travel with me, and I’m unable to leave him for the amount of time required to appropriately prepare for the show in New York.”
Skipping Fashion Week doesn't exactly mean a vacation for the Queen of Multitasking. Over the weekend Rachel tweeted, "I know I'm exhausted when..I talk into my NARS compact instead of my phone #sleepdeprived #workingmom #worthit."
The cancelation of her Feb 13 show marks the first time Rachel won't show at NYFW since she debuting her line in 2011. Rachel told the fashion publication that her latest collection is all about "French bohemia with mod elements" adding, "I couldn’t be more excited about this collection."
