Will Jennifer Aydin Become Friends With Melissa Gorga? Her Thoughts on Reconciliation
Jennifer admitted things were "very awkward" with Melissa before the group headed to the Jersey Shore for a birthday celebration.
Jennifer Aydin and Melissa Gorga might be living their best lives on the Jersey Shore, but they’re still on the outs after years of back and forth on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In a preview clip for Season 14, Episode 3, part of the group — including Margaret Josephs and her husband — headed to the shore to celebrate Joe Gorga’s Italian-themed 49th birthday at the couple’s stunning beach house. Margaret told the Envy boutique store owner that she had a conversation with Dolores Catania and that Dolores said she “felt bad” leaving Jennifer and Bill Aydin behind since neither was invited to the party.
“I’m like, ‘Whatta ya mean Jennifer’s alone?’” Margaret told Melissa.
Margaret reported Jennifer was alone since Teresa Giudice and Luis “Louie” Ruelas were preparing to see Gabriella Giudice off to college. Dolores and Paulie Connell then opted to stay with Jennifer and Bill at their Jersey Shore vacation home.
Will Jennifer Aydin and Melissa Gorga become friends?
According to Jennifer, it looks like she and Melissa are never ever getting back together, at least as things currently stand.
Jennifer and Dolores’ families got together for a Turkish breakfast at the beach house to discuss the celebration-of-life party hosted by Danielle Cabral for her husband, Nate Cabral. Jennifer admitted it was “very awkward” and “weird” when in the company of “certain people.”
“I mean, listen. I’ve seen Melissa twice now, and both times, she did not want to come up to me,” Jennifer told Dolores. “Give me an example of things that I’ve done to them. Please, let me see how I’ve been guilty.”
Dolores said she “would love” to see Jennifer and Melissa hash things out.
“I’m not gonna initiate it,” Jennifer maintained. “I’ve gone to her every single time we’ve gotten into a fight. Historically.”
In her conversation with Margaret, Melissa said she “tried genuinely” one year earlier to patch things up between her and Jennifer, but to no avail.

“I was being authentic and really trying to move forward with her and trying to separate her from the family situation,” said Melissa. “Even though I do feel that sometimes she instigates it.”
Melissa then rhetorically asked Margaret if it was entirely “necessary” for Jennifer to help spread unsubstantiated rumors about Melissa cheating on Joe.
In Season 12, Jennifer told Danielle that she heard through the grapevine that Melissa was caught “making out” in the backseat of a car with someone who worked with Melissa and Joe. Explaining the situation with RHONJ producers, Melissa added that Jennifer was “blindly loyal” to her sister-in-law, Teresa.
“So, what’s your problem with me?” Melissa wondered. “I’m confused here.”
Melissa called the gossip “very strategic” and “calculated” on Jennifer’s part when speaking to Margaret about the ongoing rift.
Melissa and Margaret agreed that Jennifer seemed to grasp at any excuse for staying angry.
Meanwhile, back with Dolores and the Aydins, Jennifer said it felt like her rivals “did her dirty.”
“It’s unfair that Melissa wants to blame me for the cheating rumor when Danielle was the one who said it when it came from Margaret,” Jennifer told producers.
Jennifer also accused Melissa and Joe of never taking accountability and coming to a place in life where they think their “sh-t don’t stink,” she continued to Dolores.
By the preview's end, the Gorgas were warming up to the idea of inviting the Aydins to the birthday celebration, but audiences will have to wait and see what happens with them.
