Elon Musk's Next Project Is Tequila — And Here's What a Bottle of "Teslaquila" Looks Like
Huge thinker Elon Musk is scaling his ideas to include tequila — specifically, Teslaquila.
Tesla founder Elon Musk joked on April Fools' Day that he was making a new line of alcohol called Teslaquila, and now it appears that Musk's tequila concept might actually become a reality. TMZ spotted paperwork that showed Elon filed for a legal trademark — and announced "Teslaquila coming soon" — back in October.
Like his vehicles, Musk's Teslaquila would pack a punch: He shared a mockup on Twitter of what the bottle looks like... and in addition to a glimpse at the label, the pic also revealed that Musk's concept would be be 40 percent alcohol by volume.
This could be a great business move or a spectacular failure, but the celebrity tequila business is booming right now. Just ask George Clooney, who sold his tequila company Casamigos for $1 billion last year.
