Simon Cowell Cut This From His Diet — Cold Turkey — and Lost 20 Pounds

Simon Cowell explained, "Within 24 hours I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since."

Simon Cowell is about to turn 60. But — to paraphrase Jay-Z — 60 is the new 20 for Cowell, thanks to a radical diet change that the America's Got Talent judge credits with revolutionizing his health.

Cowell told Extra that he adopted a vegan diet swiftly and decisively — and never wavered since his decision.

He fainted and fell in 2017, later revealing the incident resulted from low blood pressure. After the incident, Cowell was open to changes that could help, and he told The Sun he shifted to the vegan diet when a doctor friend pointed him in the direction.

As a result, he banished meat, dairy, wheat, and sugar, from his diet. He also cut melon, to which he learned he had an allergy.

“Within 24 hours I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since,” Cowell told Extra. “You feel better, you look better.” After going vegan, he lost 20 pounds and is overall feeling “much better."

But he does have an occasional craving, he admits — pizza! — which makes things "really hard" from time to time.

Among the other celebs who credit vegan diets with major lifestyle upgrades are Natalie Portman, who cut out dairy and eggs — and noted that her acne vanished.
