Kandi Burruss Baked the Sweetest Homemade Birthday Cake for Her Daughter Riley
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mama put her heart into this homespun dessert — literally.
For her daughter Riley's sweet 16, Kandi Burruss wrangled a pink-and-gold bakery cake that was fit for a princess. But when the Atlanta teen turned 17, her mother went a decidedly different route, whipping up the sweetest homemade dessert.
In an Instagram Story from Riley's birthday on August 22, The Real Housewives of Atlanta mama showed her mini-me blowing out the candles on a cake that was festooned with hearts. After serenading her daughter as only a professional singer can, Kandi had to put in a quick plug for the dessert she made herself. "Look at this good old pound cake that I made for my baby girl!" she said.
