After a week of severe fires in California due to historically high winds, another one broke out yesterday along the freeway near the Getty Center and it's still underway. So far, the flames have claimed more than 600 acres of land and destroyed eight Brentwood homes and damaged five. The neighborhoods surrounding the Getty are home to some of the most expensive real estate in the country — thousands of residents, including LeBron James and his family, were forced to evacuate.

Among those close to the fire were Dorit, her husband, PK, and their children, Jagger and Phoenix. The family almost had to evacuate, but were thankfully able to stay inside their new $6.5 million home in Encino (which is right down the street from Kyle Richards).

“My kids and I we’re woken up at 4:30 this morning to prepare for a potential evacuation,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills swimwear designer captioned a video from the Los Angeles Fire Department that she shared with her Instagram followers. “It was scary and we were lucky we didn’t have to evacuate in the end. My heart is with everyone affected by the LA fires and my gratitude is to the @losangelesfiredepartment for their continued efforts to contain the fires that have such a devastating effect on so many people and animals. Thank you! ??❤️.

Dorit reposted the video after Kyle shared it with her followers. “Thank you for all that you do to keep everyone safe,” she wrote, sending prayers to the LAFD.

Lala Kent and Randall Emmet’s home was also scarily close to the fires, but they, too, were able to avoid evacuating.
