Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave: Edwin Always Has the Words to Build Me Up

Despite what has happened between me and Camille, the wedding and trip to Hawaii was a gorgeous experience. Whether it was paddle boarding or eating pasta from a giant cheese wheel (!!!), I had a great time with the ladies.

Watching the moment back with Edwin in the hot tub makes me emotional all over again. No matter how much we tease each other (and how much Edwin doesn’t like how regimented I keep things — I asked for that one!), we are a team who uplifts and supports each other. Knowing the struggle I was dealing with trying to find a middle ground between work and motherhood, Edwin always has the words and energy to build me up. Edwin is certainly the king of putting his foot in his mouth, but that’s why we work— he says what he’s thinking, and I overthink what I say. But you know that if you read my blogs.

As you see, I created All IN to be a business centered around something I love without having to go into an office. My phone is my office, and I can work from my bed, from the park, or even while I’m on the Peloton. I love that I’m able to be constantly accessible to my clients and coaches while still being able to be home when the kiddos need me.

That’s one of the great things about doing Housewives — getting to watch yourself back, because the show can reveal a side you aren’t completely aware of how strong it is. Like, I know I’m a nagging, bossy, know-it-all, I just didn’t know I was constantly a nagging, bossy, know-it-all. So I will work on that. Just after I tell Edwin what he needs to do for the day.
