Kyle Richards on Rebuilding Her Birkin Collection: “I Try to Get Four of Everything”
The RHOBH cast member is building a new Hermès handbag stash after having hers stolen: “Let’s just say I’m doing very well.”
In 2017, Kyle Richards’ Encino house was burglarized. “They took everything — all of my bags, as well as bags and jewelry that my mum left me,” she recently shared with Vogue. Now, Kyle is working on rebuilding her accessory collection, and there’s a special focus on the highly coveted (and very pricey) Hermès handbags.
“Let’s just say I’m doing very well,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member told Vogue of putting together a new stash of Kellys and Birkins. “I try to get four of everything for each of my daughters.”
When it comes to building a jaw-dropping bag collection, Kyle is in good company with her RHOBH castmates. Last season, Crystal Kung Minkoff’s $95,000 Hermès Birkin 20 Sellier Faubourg bag stopped Kyle in her tracks. (Watch the video above for a closer look at the purse.) “I have not heard one word out of Crystal’s mouth,” Kyle admitted in an interview during the June 2021 episode. “All I can see is this bag right now.”
This season, Kyle was also the first to notice Diana Jenkins’ bag, which — believe it or not — came with an even heftier price tag. “Holy s--t,” Kyle (appropriately) blurted upon seeing the luxe diamond-accented croc Birkin valued at $250,000.
