Melissa Gorga broke one of the cardinal rules of wedding guest etiquette — and we have to say, she looked incredible doing it.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom traveled to Upstate New York this week to celebrate the nuptials of her cousin Nicholas Marco and his partner, Mike Masco. Melissa — a self-described fashionista — churned out some incredible looks throughout the multi-day celebration; however, it was her ceremony dress that really took the cake.

On Saturday, September 23, the mother of three stepped into the wedding venue wearing a beautiful white gown. Yes, you read that correctly, a white gown. Although the sartorial choice is typically considered a wedding guest no-no, Melissa boldly went against tradition and rocked a snow-white sequin design that was equal parts sexy and timeless.

The shimmery dress featured a plunging V-neck, a high leg slit, and gold-toned spaghetti straps that matched the Greca-patterned band at the waist. Melissa completed the look with a sleek low ponytail, a pair of sparkly gold stilettos, drop earrings, and a gold watch. Her hair and glam were credited to Bella B Creations and MUA Gabrielle D’Amato, respectively.

Melissa’s big sisters, Kim Marco Pirrella and Lysa Simpson, also shined on their cousin’s big day. The latter donned a white feathered dress with sequin details on the bodice, while the latter chose a sparkly gown with a sweetheart neckline and a sweep train.

Melissa’s daughter, Antonia Gorga, was also in attendance and clearly got the shimmery dress memo. Just hours before the ceremony began, the college freshman took to TikTok to share a behind-the-scenes peek at her glam process and her final wedding guest look: a glittery light-blue gown with spaghetti straps, a slight scoop neck, and a dramatic leg slit.

The mother and daughter went on to share a few clips and photos of the lavish wedding reception, which included guests like RHONJ's Margaret Josephs and Manzo'd with Children bestie Greg Bennett.

The decor was handled by Copper + Chloe, a New Jersey-based event-planning business that specializes in weddings. As shown on Melissa's Instagram Stories, the venue (Cedar Lakes Estate in Port Jervis) featured dozens of grand chandeliers, which were surrounded by lush greenery that cascaded from the ceiling. The tables were adorned with beautiful floral arrangements, dark-bronze dinnerware, clear glasses, and an assortment of candles.

“Just wow,” Melissa captioned a Story that showed off the space.

As previously mentioned, the wedding celebration took place over a few days. On September 21, Melissa attended the “Garden Night” event in a jaw-dropping floral maxi skirt and a matching red crop top. The Jersey Wife stunned, once again, on Night 2, when she hit the rehearsal dinner in a sleek black-on-black ensemble.

“The night before. This is what epic looks like,” she captioned a rehearsal dinner post. “Thank you Jesus for my family & ride or die friends. But Now for the real question… Is [Joe Gorga] ready to marry these two?!!!”

Joe Gorga was tapped to officiate the ceremony

Melissa’s husband, Joe, officiated the wedding just 10 days after announcing he had been ordained as a minister. He reflected on the honor in a September 13 Instagram post, in which he showed off his official ordination certificate.

“I’m so honored to be officiating the marriage of my cousins this week,” he captioned the video. “Can’t wait for you all to see it. Stay tuned. This gold seal makes it official!”
