Forget Marie Kondo and minimalism: Alex McCord just made the case for being a "fashion hoarder." The Real Housewives of New York City alums Alex and her husband Simon van Kempen might have left the Big Apple behind for a whole new adventure in Australia, but Alex made sure to bring along her NYC wardrobe.
She just posted a photo of herself and Simon out on the town, both looking refined with Simon in a suit with bow tie and matching pocket square, while Alex has has on a belted coat with shiny gold buttons.
"Date night with my co-conspirator... and the upshot of being a fashion hoarder is the ability to pull out a 12 year old coat for a formal dinner outside in southern hemisphere winter," Alex wrote in the caption.
This classic coat is definitely worth hanging onto forever — and it turns out it looked familiar to one very eagle-eyed RHONY fan. A commenter wrote to Alex: "Looks like the coat you wore for the outdoor #RHONY first season photo shoot! You look exactly the same and the same pose too!"
She confirmed that yep, this outfit graced our television screens. Alex wrote back: "Bahaha, it is the same coat. The pose is coincidental."
