Let's All Take a Moment to Appreciate Tinsley Mortimer's Epic 2005 Met Gala Gown
The Real Housewives of New York City fashionista took us on a well-timed trip down memory lane.
If there's anyone who can rock a dress, it's Tinsley Mortimer. These days, we're most used to seeing the socialite in ultra feminine cocktail dresses and colorful resort wear on The Real Housewives of New York City. But don't forget: Tinsley also has a knack for black-tie attire.
So, on the day of New York's biggest fashion fete — that'd be the Met Gala — the RHONY pal posted a well-timed throwback snap. In a May 7 Instagram post, the fashion lover put pink hearts around a caption that read: "My first Met Ball #2005."
In the pale pink hue of a rose petal, the girly gown had a large bow and piles of silk. Tinsley accessorized the look with a pink clutch and stacked, sparkling bracelets. Her shiny blond hair was pulled back into a half-up style, and the smile on her face could not have been any sweeter.
Related: the color on this dress kind of reminds us of Gwyneth Paltrow's famous 1998 Oscar gown, which is making us doubly swoon.
We can't wait to see the outrageous styles that hit the red carpet at this year's bash. But somewhere in our hearts, we'll be yearning for a flash of baby pink.
