The Real Housewives of New York City (Sort Of) Reenacted a Scene from Hamilton

This is what happens when #RHONY goes Ham.

Hot Child in the City!

Carole Radziwill is undoubtedly one of the coolest 'Wives ever, so it's no surprise that she's now dropping references from Hamilton, the hottest hip-hop musical on Broadway these days, in regular conversation. "Someone once told me, talk less, smile more," Carole advised Ramona Singer as she talked her ear off during The Real Housewives of New York City Season 8 premiere.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and stream next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

That "someone" Carole originally heard this bit of advice from might actually be Aaron Burr. Well, the character version of Aaron Burr (portrayed by Leslie Odom Jr.) featured in Hamilton, that is. It's unclear if Carole has actually seen the hit Broadway show, but "talk less, smile more" is a stand-out, provocative lyric from the show, so perhaps the RHONY writer is a Hamilfan after all.

Leslie Odom Jr. performs as Aaron Burr with the cast of Hamilton from the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York during the 58th GRAMMY Awards on February 15, 2016.

Burr raps "Talk less, smile more/Don't let them know what you're against or what you're for" to warn Alexander Hamilton (originally played by the musical's creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda) about his revolutionary attitude in the song "Aaron Burr, Sir" when the two first meet at the beginning of the musical. Burr goes on to warn Hamilton, "You want to get ahead? Fools who run their mouths off wind up dead."

Well, Carole didn't go that far when she repeated this credo to Ramona, but the sentiment is kind of the same. Carole intimated that Ramona might have better luck on dates if she sat back and smiled instead of gabbing all the time.

So has Ramona taken Carole's words to heart? We'll let her speak for herself. "What kind of bullsh** is that? Smile more, talk less? I've got to be myself," Ramona said in an interview during the episode. "If they don't like me for who I am, then goodbye. Good riddance."

We're not going to lie. Ramona has a point, too. But the fact that RHONY and Hamilton crossed over for a brief moment still has us pretty jazzed.

And that's not the only Hamilton connection to RHONY this week. In a sneak peek of the upcoming season of Inside Amy Schumer, Amy performs her own historical hip-hopera for Lin-Manuel about "Bethenny Ross." "Betsy Ross. You're mixing up a historical figure with a Real Housewife," Lin-Manuel pointed out Amy's faux pas, referring to RHONY's Bethenny Frankel.

But seriously, can someone write a musical about the RHONY 'Wives already?
