Bethenny Frankel Reveals a Chilling New Detail from Her Near-Fatal Allergy Attack: "I Felt That He Was Pulling at Me"
The Real Housewives of New York City mogul shared the thing that brought her some "closure" in the midst of a near-fatal attack.
On the Season 11 finale of The Real Housewives of New York City, viewers watched Bethenny Frankel deal with the aftermath of her near-fatal allergy attack. While in Boston visiting her boyfriend, Paul, last year, the Skinnygirl mogul — who has a rare fish allergy — accidentally ate some soup that contained fish flakes in it. Bethenny went into anaphylactic shock, and spent the next few days in the ICU.
When sharing details on the harrowing incident, Bethenny said that right after eating the soup, "I felt my hands get really swollen, they got super tight." Three minutes later, she was unconscious, and Paul was calling the paramedics. She added, "I heard the [doctor at the hospital] say that if it had been five more minutes that I would have passed away. If no one was with me I would have been dead."
Bethenny has been open about those details of her attack before, as she's made it her mission to spread awareness about the dangers of the rare allergy that could have killed her. But she also just revealed a chilling new detail that involves her late boyfriend Dennis Shields.
"In the middle of all the craziness, I felt Dennis pulling at me,” she said. “I didn’t think it, I felt it. I felt that he was pulling at me. Now I’m done with him. That is over. Let me be. You go be where you are, and I’m going to stay here." She added, "It was some sort of closure with Dennis."
