Emily Simpson Isn't Wearing Her Wedding Ring — Here's Why

On November 19, Emily Simpson made a dazzling appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The Real Housewives of Orange County attorney sizzled in a zebra print dress and tight curls (as you can see in the clip above) — but fans couldn't help but notice that one significant piece of jewelry has been missing from Emily's left hand. 

During the show, a fan called in and asked Emily, "It was seen at BravoCon that you did not have your wedding ring. Is there a certain reason for that?" Emily nonchalantly responded, "No, you know what, I rarely wear it. I actually lost it — I don't have a wedding ring, so." 

Even Andy was a bit taken aback by Emily's answer. "Really? That's, uh, not a great sign," he said in the clip above.

Hold on now, Emily isn't the only one in the relationship not wearing wedding bling — it appears Shane Simpson might've misplaced his ring as well. In an Instagram Stories clip in October, Shane also appeared ringless. When Emily asked him where his bauble was, he replied, "I don't even know if... I don't think I have a wedding ring." Emily then confirmed, "I bought you a wedding ring." However, Shane still couldn't recall the actual ring itself. 

The couple's marriage has faced much criticism this season on RHOC, in particular, Shane's demeanor toward Emily. At BravoCon 2019 this past weekend, Emily addressed the critics. "I understand that people have opinions because of what they see, but obviously there’s more to someone’s personality than just what’s on the show. At the end of the day, I try not to take it personally. It’s my life, it’s my marriage, it’s my husband, and that’s just the way it is," she shared. 

During Emily's appearance on WWHL, Andy also confirmed that Shane indeed will make an appearance at the RHOC Season 14 reunion, so perhaps we'll get a bit more backstory on these missing rings then.
