Shannon Storms Beador Reveals Why Her Face Looked So Different at the Reunion
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom tried a cosmetic procedure "without doing the research and without thinking it through."
Shannon Storms Beador looked downright fabulous at The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 15 reunion (as you can see in the clip above). In a delightful and unexpected twist, the mom ditched her go-to power suit for a '60s-inspired white minidress and satin platform shoes. The combo made for a playful and sweet look with a mod-vintage vibe. However, while some of us were distracted by Shannon's ensemble, others couldn't help but notice a change in Shannon's face.
After receiving an influx of questions about her face, Shannon took to Instagram to clear the air. "Last night, Part 1 of the OC reunion aired and there are a lot of people asking, 'What did Shannon do to her face?'" she shared in a clip on January 21.
"I wanted to look good for the reunion so I went elsewhere to try a couple of natural and non-invasive treatments that have been very effective in tightening people's skin, but it didn't work at all on my skin," she explained. "So, as the reunion was around the corner, it was suggested that I try a natural filler in my face and in my cheeks that stimulates the growth of collagen. And I was running out of time, so I said, 'Okay, go ahead and do it' — without doing the research and without thinking it through like I usually do."
Appearing displeased with her results, Shannon shared that "it's been a really hard month." She continued, "I am blessed to have [the] support of my boyfriend and kids who say, 'Oh. it's okay. You don't look that bad,' but I'm having a really difficult time looking at myself in the mirror because I don't recognize myself."
In the clip, Shannon revealed that she was at CosmetiCare clinic in Newport Beach, California "to try to do something with my cheeks so that I can look like myself again."
Shannon also let followers in on her new treatment plan and shared clips from her session. "I'm injecting a product that dissolves filler and Shannon is being a great sport because this doesn't actually feel that great," Certified Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Rosenfeld explained in one of the videos.
"I'm good — anything to get rid of it," Shannon replied.
After the procedure, the nurse explained that Shannon will be returning in two weeks for a follow-up.
