On Tuesday evening, Time magazine hosted its Time 100 Gala in New York City. The momentous occasion drew in a plethora of celebs, artists, activists, athletes, political figures, and entrepreneurs, who all gathered to celebrate the influential individuals honored on the Time 100: The Most Influential People in 2018 list. Honoree or not, the event’s red carpet was filled with dazzling gowns, jumpsuits, and suits.
However, as with any red carpet occasion, there are always a few looks that stand out from the rest. Below, check out some of our favorite looks from the evening.
The Top Chef host never ceases to amaze us with her regal red carpet looks. In honor of designer Christian Siriano (a Time 100 honoree), Padma donned a dual-tone gown created by the fashion trailblazer himself. Once again, Padma managed to pull off the tricky task of standing out in the color red on a scarlet-carpet, which she also mastered at the Vogue India Women of the Year Awards in 2017.
As per usual, Lopez did not disappoint with her choice of ensemble. The Time 100 Icon honoree turned heads in a shimmering deep v-cut Zuhair Murad gown paired with gold accessories from head to toe. For her beauty look, the singer went with a long ponytail, her signature bronze glow, and a glossy nude lip (which we’re excitedly imagining is from her upcoming makeup line). She then switched into a sexy see-through bodysuit for her performance at the event.
Last but certainly not least is Jones, who absolutely slayed this look. The comedian channeled model Grace Jones in a custom Christian Siriano white blazer dress, which she paired with fierce cat-eye black shades, strappy heels, and a bold black lip shade. #Fierce
