Here's What Top Chefs Are Drinking to Stay Cool (and Pleasantly Buzzed) This Summer

The Feast asked Season 15 alumni Fatima Ali, Joe Flamm, and Joe Sasto at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen.

It was a happy reunion for Season 15 finalists of Bravo's Top Chef in Aspen! Fatima AliJoe Flamm, and Joe Sasto may have been fierce competitors on the show, but the trio came together for some friendly fun — and a "Joe sandwich" — at Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado. The annual event brings together big food-world names for tastings — and each of the former contestants was there to prepare one of their own signatures for the guests.

The Feast caught up with them there to ask about their go-to summer drinks — and pick the pros' brains for a little seasonal inspo, whether for entertaining guests or just ordering for ourselves alfresco.

"My go-to summer drink is an Aperol spritz," said Flamm. "It's light. You can go with it all day. It settles your stomach for eating all day. And it's just super delicious and refreshing."

Sasto, for his part, said, "My go-to summer drink has got to be anything with bubbles. I'm a fiend for bubbles. Rosé... all day... bay-bay!"

Fatima had to agree with Sasto — but with a twist. "My go to summer drink is frosé all day," she said, referring to the frozen version — in the same catchy parlance. "I love the stuff!"

Cheers to that — after all, it's 5 o'clock on a summer Friday somewhere.
