Padma Lakshmi Baked an "Epic" Apple Pie to Comfort Chef Fatima Ali: "Love You"
The Bravo's Top Chef judge made a delicious gesture of love toward her close friend.
For two foodies, the spicy warmth of an apple pie is about as comforting as comfort food gets. So when Bravo's Top Chef judge Padma Lakshmi wanted to send a token of love to her dear friend, Top Chef Season 15 contestant Fatima Ali (who was recently given a terminal cancer diagnosis), she had both cinnamon and apples on hand.
On October 18, Fatima took to Instagram Stories to share her gratitude for the cozy treat that Padma had sent. "Epic honey crisp apple pie," she wrote over an image of the classic dessert. She also tagged the pie's chef, and added two hearts to show how much she appreciated the baked gift.
In response, over on her own Instagram Stories, Padma retweeted the message and replied, "So happy you liked it," followed by two words that the pie already conveyed: "Love you."
