Danica Dow Just Changed the Whipped Coffee Game with a "Boozy AF" Version
SUR's assistant manager put a fun spin on the internet trend — and the results look amazing.
As people around the world are staying home, a whipped coffee recipe has taken the internet by storm. Now, Danica Dow is upping the game by making a "Boozy AF" version of the viral drink.
The beverage, also known as Dalgona coffee, is traditionally prepared by whipping instant coffee, sugar, and hot water and then adding the mixture to cold or hot milk. The Vanderpump Rules rookie, however, is putting her spin on the drink with the addition of Baileys Irish Cream liqueur and Malibu rum, as well as substituting milk for coconut milk and sugar for brown sugar. Blasting Paramore's "Misery Business" as she prepped the drink, Danica declared in a caption: "Drinking & emo music type of day."
To no ones surprise, Danica's cast mates are also finding fun ways to drink while homebound amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. In March, Dayna Kathan challenged friends, including Danica, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, Brittany Cartwright, and Tom Schwartz, to record themselves take a shot of alcohol and challenge others to do the same.
Tom Sandoval, meanwhile, recently whipped up a "quarantini" recipe in a video recorded for Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
In March, Stassi Schroeder, Beau Clark, Jax Taylor, Brittany, Katie, and Schwartz (who noted at the time that they were following guidelines at the time to keep social gatherings to under 10 people) enjoyed some Bud Light and Miller Lite beers in honor of Beau's 40th birthday.
With SUR temporarily closed amid the pandemic, the restaurant's manager Peter Madrigal has a home bar to turn to when he wants a beverage. As seen in an Instagram Story, his "little bar," setup uses a window ledge as a liquor shelf and a marble-topped counter for Peter to get to work on his cocktail of choice.
