Stassi Made Beau a 40th Birthday Cake and It's a "Freakin' Homemade Masterpiece"
The Vanderpump Rules couple celebrated Beau's milestone birthday with a "quarantine cake."
Beau Clark may not have pictured spending his 40th birthday in self-isolation amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, but at least he has a delicious dessert to ring in the milestone thanks to his fiancée, Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder.
In an Instagram Story on Wednesday, March 18, Stassi shared a photo of ingredients sitting on her kitchen counter: Duncan Hines Classic Yellow cake mix, Pillsbury Funfetti Vanilla icing, and Duncan Hines chocolate icing. "Quarantine cake," she captioned the photo. "The best I can do right now."
As she got to work on the cake, Beau captured the moment while providing hilarious commentary. "Who are you?" he asked, as she quipped: "I'm a baker."
Even in the sweet moment, Beau couldn't help but have a bit of fun at his love's expense. "You know how to use that? It's not to beat me," he asked Stassi, who was holding a whisk. "I just want to let you know, that's not a weapon."
Stassi later showed off the delicious-looking finished product. The cake, which was topped with five silver candles, was fully covered in chocolate icing with a bit of Funfetti vanilla icing and sprinkles on top. Never one for subtly, she proudly declared it was "a freakin homemade masterpiece."
Later, Beau was surprised at their home by castmates Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Tom Schwartz, and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. The friends spent the night in Stassi and Beau's kitchen, which is currently being renovated, where they had a table topped with Bud Light and Miller Lite beers, multiple bottles of liquor, and, of course, a bottle of Ranch dressing.
In one video of the night, Stassi, who has been known in the past to be just a tad over-the-top about her birthday, wrote, "Don't be fooled. Beau is a birthday monster," as the clip showed her groom-to-be demanding to watch a movie. She noted of the bare-bones walls behind them: "Don't mind the kitchen construction."
While Beau called the moment "a great surprise," he made sure to note that the friends had "all been self-quarantining," and that, per recent White House recommendations to stop the spread of the virus, the gathering was "under 10 [people.]"
Earlier that day, Stassi shared the bright side of being housebound with Beau amid the health crisis. "I love spending every moment possible with you, so not gonna lie, this self-quarantine works in my favor," she wrote in an Instagram post. "Because my dark passenger gets you all to myself today."
