Jax Taylor Learned a Valuable Lesson About Protecting His Yard: "I'm an Idiot"
The Vanderpump Rules bartender is honing his yardwork skills, and he's passing on his wisdom one hard-won lesson at a time.
When Jax Taylor takes up a hobby, he really commits to it. On Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, we saw the bartender's devotion to his daily (and sometimes, twice-daily) LIT Method workouts. But now, it seems that Brittany Cartwright's husband has trained his attention on yard work. And as he hones his domestic skills, the Valley Village homeowner is sharing some hard-won tips with his followers.
Jax recently took to Instagram Stories to offer a hack for backyard barbecuers. First, the former model showed a spot of burnt grass on his lawn. "Don't do what I did," he wrote in his caption.
In his narration, the pool-party host explained: "If you put a barbecue pit on the grass, it's gonna burn it. I should have known that, and I don't know why I didn't." But, never fear: Jax has found an affordable solution to his grilling woes.
"They make these things that you can buy that go underneath your barbecue pit or your fire pit, and that way it saves the grass or your wood," he said, showing off the Newtex FirePad Deck Protector that's now underneath his grill. "I'm an idiot," he said. "I don't know why I didn't do this in the first place."
In another story, he shared a peek at the FirePad in its packaging. "I got this on [Amazon] for like 13 bucks I think," Jax wrote. "It's a must have."
Meanwhile, Jax's fellow SURver Ariana Madix is doing a little yard tending of her own. The bartender recently showed off pomegranates that are starting to sprout on her backyard trees.
