So, Here’s Why Tom Schwartz Keeps Dollar Bills on His Fridge
The Vanderpump Rules cast member is addressing questions about an eyebrow-raising part of his kitchen.
Since moving into his new bachelor pad, Tom Schwartz has been vocal about his struggles with feeling at home. The Vanderpump Rules cast member leased his Valley Village apartment last year after moving out of his and Katie Maloney’s former house.
On Vanderpump Rules’ February 22 episode, viewers got to see Tom’s living quarters, which were filled with numerous unpacked boxes. Tom told Raquel Leviss, who was there along with Scheana Shay and Brock Davies to pregame for a night out, that he “choose[s] to live out of boxes.”
Despite having loads of personal items to unpack, it was his choice of kitchen decor that stirred up quite the conversation on social media. The item in question, you ask? Well, that would be the cash hanging on Tom’s refrigerator.
Samantha Bush, who runs the Bravo Historian Instagram account, took to Twitter to share a photo from the episode, asking, “Have we discussed why there are dollar bills hanging on [Tom’s] fridge?” The Schwartz & Sandy’s owner responded to Samantha, writing, “When I find bills in pockets or laundry, for no reason in particular I just put them on the fridge.”
Tom failed to give insight on whether he uses the money, but it seems he has quite a bit of luck when it comes to finding misplaced cash, considering the number of bills hanging on his fridge.
Speaking of good fortune, Tom recently took to Instagram to share a special moment he’s been dreaming of while outside his cocktail lounge and restaurant.
“I know it’s not a particularly momentous milestone, but this is a nice little moment,” he said. “I’ve kind of been fantasizing about this moment for a long time. Sitting outside Schwartz & Sandy’s, having a brewski, just chillin’.”
Tom went on to explain why he posted the clip, saying, “Thought I’d put it on here for posterity, maybe look at someday when I’m older.”
