Last night we had some kind of supreme technical screwup that resulted in our control room crashing at 11:58 and "Watch What Happens Live" not making air in half the country. All this while Sheree and I were in the midst of a black tie She by Sheree celebration! She and I did the show as though live and found out the news near it's conclusion. Sheree responded like a pro, wanting to make sure nothing bad happened in the world to cause this. I am unclear what really did happen but watch The Dish and we'll let you know rerun times for the next few days so you can see the damn thing! I'll Tweet too.
The show was so fun! We had reviews of "She" from around the fashion globe which we shared live w/ the designer and Dwight, who was not amazingly thrilled with what Isaac Mizrahi called in and said about him. I was bummed afterwords and I got lots of your emails and tweets sharing my sentiment.
Before the show, Bravo GM Frances Berwick and I accepted the Lord and Taylor Fashion Oracle Award at Fashion's Night of Stars at Cipriani. It was a packed house with every designer you can imagine and a ton of superstars like Mary J Blige, Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, and Dita von Teese. Bravo was well represented in the form of Tyson Beckford, Harper's Bazaar Editor Glenda Bailey (who presented us the award), India Hicks, Fern Mallis, Laura Brown, Jonathan Adler, and soon-to-be Bravolebrities like phototgraphers Markus Klinko and Indrani ("Double Exposure") and Kelly ("Kell on Earth") Cutrone. It was one of the hardest rooms I can think of in terms of receptive audiences in front of whom you'd want to speak. Thus it was probably not my most amazing moment on a stage, though Frances was great.
And then I went on to go do a show that got snatched by the Cosmos. Hmmm. What does that mean?
I am getting on a plane to an undisclosed location for a top secret shoot. Hope you enjoyed the Atlanta Finale and that you'll get to see "Watch What Happens Live" at some point.
