Prince's $12 Million Turks and Caicos Mansion Hitting the Market
It's got 10 bedrooms and a private beach and dock — plus a driveway painted purple.
Following Prince’s death, we learned that without a will, the fate of his famed Paisley Park estate is uncertain. We also know that his palatial former estate in Spain is lingering on the market.
And now we know, too, that a Caribbean property belonging to the late music legend could be hitting the market as well.
According to TMZ, the star bought a 10,000-square-foot fortress-like property on the island of Providenciales, located within Turks and Caicos. Price tag? A mere $12 million.
The sprawling manse has 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, along with a tennis court and a 200-foot boat dock. Apropos of its exclusive island location — not to mention of it ownership by music royalty — it also comes with its very own private white sand beach.
However, Prince’s own fingerprints on the property may be limited: Robert Greenwood of Christie's International Real Estate told TMZ that the star hadn’t actually fully moved in prior to the time of his death. For that reason, there are only limited furnishings and accessories int he house — but some of those are prime pieces of memorabilia. Evidently, there are some items from the Purple Rain movie, including a mirror as well as some chairs.
Though he didn’t really live there, the home does come with one unmistakably Prince signature: As soon as he moved in, he had the driveway painted in his signature color: purple!
