Tamra Judge Defends Heather McDonald in Chelsea Handler Feud

"My friend would Never betray anyone," the #RHOC mom said.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Comedians Chelsea Handler and Heather McDonald have had a highly publicized feud this past week, and it looks like a 'Wife has now thrown her hat into the ring. The Real Housewives of Orange County's Tamra Judge has come to the defense of her friend Heather after Chelsea's fiery response to comments that she "lived in fear" of her as a writer on Chelsea Lately. "My friend would Never betray anyone...she is the sweetest person I know. Biggest heart ever," Tamra wrote on Facebook Friday.

My friend would Never betray anyone...she is the sweetest person I know. Biggest heart ever

Posted by Tamra Judge on Thursday, January 21, 2016

The whole feud started when Heather appeared on the podcast Allegedly... with Thoe Von & Matthew Cole Weiss and said that the environment of the E! late-night talk show was one in which she never felt much job security around its host. "I lived in fear, 100 percent lived in fear," Heather said. "I enjoyed my time there. I was happy. But I mean, something could happen and my heart would be, like, beating, and I'd be like, 'Is this it?'"

She was also caught off guard when she heard Chelsea would be leaving Chelsea Lately after eight seasons to film a new show for Netflix. "Someone just tweeted, 'Say it isn't so, Heather,' with a link," Heather said during the interview. "And I clicked on it, and it said that her manager was on a red carpet and said the show is ending this year."

Chelsea fired back on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM, which you can see part of in the NSFW clip, below. "When I found out at work that she was trading stories to Us Weekly about my personal life in exchange for having her photograph run in the magazine, I could have fired her. I did not fire her. She had a job for four more years. I never hung out with her personally again," Chelsea said. "So I hope she was living in fear. It's not an internment camp. If you're that fearful, then get a job."

Chelsea also didn't understand why Heather was upset that she didn't hear the news of Chelsea Lately's end directly from her. "Why the f*** would I talk to her about what I was doing? She's a writer on my show. She's not my partner," she told Howard.

Heather took to the latest episode of her podcast Juicy Scoop to set the record straight after Chelsea's accusation about the tabloids. "I want to publicly let everyone know I have never exchanged stories with Us Weekly or any other publication about Chelsea Handler or any other celebrities in exchange for them running photos of me. This never happened," she said.

Heather also addressed the comments she made about living "in fear" of Chelsea during the Allegedly podcast. "This quote was taken out of context. I was asked if I was afraid of being let go from the show, and the tabloids took one sentence out of an hour-long podcast and ran it as a headline. Chelsea herself said she didn't even listen to the whole interview," Heather said. "And I feel badly if she or anyone else misunderstood me, as I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked for her."

It doesn't look like Chelsea has publicly responded to Heather's statement yet. Whether this is the end of the feud or not, Heather probably has support from a few other Bravolebs, including Tamra's RHOC castmate Heather Dubrow and Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis, who Heather also counts as friends.

In fact, Heather and Jeff may have been more than just friends once. See what we mean in this clip from Flipping Out, below.
