NeNe Leakes Receives a Heartfelt Birthday Message from Cynthia Bailey

On Sunday, December 13, NeNe Leakes celebrated her birthday and kicked off her final week starring as Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago on Broadway. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum received a surprise birthday bash thrown by her Chicago castmates and her husband Gregg Leakes backstage at the show. "I am blessed to be working 2 shows today on Broadway for my Birthday just as I did last year," NeNe wrote on Instagram. "Thank you all much for the love."

However, the most surprising birthday wish may have come from NeNe's on-again, off-again friend Cynthia Bailey. "Happy Birthday @neneleakes," Cynthia wrote in the caption of an Instragram photo that NeNe also reposted. "I hope you have an amazing day. Continued blessings & success to you."

Cynthia caught up with NeNe in New York last month before she started her stint in Chicago, and the two seemed to be friendly again. It looks like the ladies, whose friendship seemed to be over during the previous season of RHOA, have remained on good terms.

A couple of NeNe's RHOA castmates also paid a visit to the actress in New York during her birthday weekend. Phaedra Parks brought flowers and birthday wishes when she watched NeNe perform in Chicago. "It was really great to hang out with Cynthia, and you know, again, we're still a work in progress," NeNe told The Daily Dish last month. "It's been a long road of recovery for us."

Phaedra also sent some birthday wishes NeNe's way on Instagram.

Kenya Moore also supported NeNe's turn in Chicago this weekend, something NeNe could hardly believe actually happened. "Well looky looky. Who would have ever thought...Ms Kenya Moore paid me a visit tonight on Broadway!" NeNe wrote on Instagram. "I really appreciate your support and the beautiful flowers."

Let's just hope this goodwill lasts long after NeNe's final Chicago curtain call.
