Daily Dish Rhony Sonja Morgan Career Update

The Real Housewives of New York City's Sonja Morgan is making major moves in her career. Sonja recently took to Instagram to announce that she is taking her penchant for performing and stand-up comedy to the next level with plans to grace stages across various cities on a comedy tour.

"Proud to announce I’m a part of the [United Talent Agency] family in support of my Improv Comedy Tour Sonja in Your City," Sonja wrote in the caption of her March 9 post, alongside a capture of the Variety article announcing the big news.

Several Bravolebs shared their excitement for Sonja's upcoming career adventure in the comments of her post. "Yes!!!! Congratulations Sonja! So proud of you," wrote RHONY's Eboni K. Williams, while The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Dolores Catania also wished Sonja congratulations. The Real Housewives of Miami alum Lea Black chimed in as well, writing, "Congratulations. I am so happy for you."

The nine-city leg of the Sonja in Your City show launches this spring, with stops in six states, including Ohio, Indiana, Texas, New York, New Jersey, and Georgia, beginning April 29. The variety show will also include drag performers as well as stand-up comedians, according to Variety.

Sonja's latest career move is not a huge departure for her. As fans may recall, Sonja is a lover of the arts and no stranger to the stage, making her stand-up comedy debut with performances at Improv Asylum in New York City.

The RHONY renaissance woman has certainly not shied away from showing off her skills in the spotlight, as she has previously joined RHONY's Luann de Lesseps for a memorable Caburlesque performance. She also starred in the off-Broadway production, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay ManAnd who can forget Sonja's solo (and sultry) holiday-themed performance in the Bravo Clubhouse during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen?

Last month, Sonja shared a throwback moment of her taking the stage with Big Apple Circus, writing in the caption of her post, "This performer wasn’t kidding when he said we are going to have a great time. We alwaaaays have a greaaaaat tiiiime."

She also shared a series of fun photos with some fellow performers in a February 22 post, writing in the caption, "I miss my fun stage mates soooo much. Sonja in Your City is about to announce new dates. Stay tuned."
