We Have an Update on Tom Schwartz and Taylor Ann Green
Shep Rose’s ex and Southern Charm castmate previously revealed she was crushing on Tom, but did anything come of the admission?
Tom Schwartz may be single, but he’s not exactly ready to mingle.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 premiere and Tom’s subsequent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen made it abundantly clear that he and Katie Maloney are officially over, but as he told Andy on February 8, he’s still struggling to start dating again — even though there are already a few interested parties, including Southern Charm’s Taylor Ann Green (aka Shep Rose’s ex).
She revealed she had a crush on Tom shortly before they came face-to-face at BravoCon 2022. There, while onstage for a special edition of WWHL, she boldly turned to Tom, offered her hand for a handshake, and said, “I’m Taylor.”
Things seemed promising for a while, especially after Tom admitted they had “a rapport going” in November, and by New Year’s Eve, Taylor was ringing in 2023 at Schwartz and Sandy’s. However, when Andy asked if “anything ever happened” between the two on February 8’s episode of WWHL, Tom sighed and replied, “No. I love Shep.”
“I like Taylor a lot,” Tom added. “Every time I see her, my face lights up. But I think I’m kind of undateable, Andy.”
Tom previously expressed that he was apprehensive about pursuing Taylor because, as he put it in an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet in October, he has “a really incredibly close relationship with all the guys from Southern Charm and Summer House.”
“So yeah,” he added, “I [feel] a little awkward.”
Shep, for his part, doesn’t seem to have a problem with the pairing. “I love Thomas Schwartz — that would make me happy if she ended up with Thomas Schwartz,” he told E! News. “My point is I’m not a jealous man. We had a great, great time. If she ends up with a very good guy that makes her happy, that would make me happy.”
