Vanderpump Rules' Katie Maloney is speaking out on her current dating life.
Katie Maloney is in a new era for Vanderpump Rules Season 11 — and it encompasses everything from her work life, to her love life, to her connection with her ex-husband, Tom Schwartz.
Prior to the Season 11 premiere, Katie appeared on an episode of The Viall Files podcast on January 4, where she discussed how her dating life has evolved in the wake of her divorce, and how she really feels about her ex today.

Katie Maloney shares why dating can be "so grim"
The extended Vanderpump Rules Season 11 trailer (which you can check out at the top of this post) revealed that Katie will be getting involved in a love triangle with her ex-husband when they both kiss the same woman. While viewers will have to tune in to find out what exactly happens between the three, Katie opened up about her dating life recently during The Viall Files podcast.
"I would say that there's moments of thriving, and then there's just moments of surviving, merely just trying to be in the streets," she said about the up-and-down nature of dating in Los Angeles. "I mean, sometimes it's just so grim. It's like, 'Wow, this is just really what it is.'"
As Katie explained, her split from Schwartz marked the first time that she had been single in 12 years.
"The landscape had just totally changed from the time I was 24 to now," she continued. "It changed and it didn't change. It's still what can be expected, like men are not OK."
Who is Katie Maloney dating?
When speaking to BravoTV.com at the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere party on Janaury 17, Katie revealed that she is currently single and enjoying her life.
“This season you’ll see a couple of potential people, and it’s all just trying different things on and seeing what works and see what doesn’t,“ Katie said.
Although Katie is open to romance, she noted that she is happy being single right now, saying, “I’m so good on my own and I don’t like need anyone.”
She continued, “So it’s like in order for me to disrupt the peace and solitude and good things I have going on, unless you’re like pretty spectacular, and like so far, [no].”

When it comes to her relationship with her ex-husband today, Katie shared a positive update while on The Viall Files.
In addition to co-parenting their dogs, Gordo and Butter, together, Katie wishes her ex well.
"I really want the best for Tom. I want him to be happy, I want him to do well in life," she said. "But, he is in his own way all the time."
Katie Maloney's next career move involves her brother, Joey Maloney
In case you missed it, Katie appeared on The Viall Files alongside Vanderpump Rules alum Dayna Kathan because the two are launching their own podcast together, Disrespectfully.
Katie's brother, Joey Maloney, got in on the podcast announcement as well, as he was the one who shot the photo for the cover art.
"Shot some snaps for my sister [Katie Maloney] and her co-host [Dayna Kathan] for their new podcast [Disrespectfully] launching Jan[uary] 10th," Joey wrote in the caption of an Instagram post on January 4. "Check it out!!"
