Tom Sandoval Reveals the (Hilarious!) First Thing He and Ariana Madix Did in Their New Home

Purchasing a home is a convoluted process so filled with stress that, when you’re in the thick of it, it’s hard to imagine it even being worth it. Then, you close the deal and get the keys and walk into the new home that you actually own — and those first few minutes, well, they’re pure magic. No matter how old you are, you’re running around a house that is ALL yours feeling a mixture of giddiness, pride, and excitement that is like nothing else.

That pretty much sums up how Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix felt when they recently closed on their stunning, $2.075 million home in Los Angeles. The Tom Tom owner revealed to Home & Design this week that purchasing a home was a huge goal for him and Ariana — we have, after all, seen the state of Tom’s rent-controlled apartment that he’s been living in for 15 years! Aaaaand we all remember the infamous scene where the Vanderpump Rules couple revealed that they can’t actually have the microwave and the air conditioning running simultaneously (hello, power outage!).

Which makes what they did when they got inside their new digs all the more hilarious. “It’s, like, the first thing we did. We literally turned the air conditioning on and then went on and turned on the AC which is so awesome, too,” Tom told us. “I’ve never lived in a place with central air!”

You know you’ve made it when you can have your microwave and air conditioning running at the same time.
