We love designer breeds because we love all cute dogs, but did you know that only difference between trendy mixes and the adorable mutts waiting at your local shelter for a loving forever home is clever marketing? Thanks for nothing, Don Draper! As always: #AdoptDontShop.
One of the principle traits of Siberian Huskies is their icy blue eyes—they’re basically like the dog version of a Disney princess—which is exactly what makes Husky mixes so irresistible. Can you even imagine a Corgi with piercing blue eyes? We're slayed. (By the way, the official name for such adorable creatures is "Corgsky.")
Huskies are generally used as sledding dogs, although they also make great pets. Closely related to Arctic wolves, they were initially bred by Arctic indigenous peoples. But today, you're just as likely to see them in your local dog park as you are pulling sleds in the Iditarod Dog Race.
And pretty much any breed of dog can be mixed with a Husky with impossibly beautiful results. Want a labrador with shaggy, thick hair that Lisa Vanderpump would braid herself? Mix it with a Husky to make a Labsky. Want a boxer with aquamarine eyes that rival those of OC Housewife Lydia McLaughlin? Get yourself a Boxsky.
Here are our 14 favorite Husky mixes.
