Here's What a Pizza Roller Has to do With the Perfect Cat Eye
No more mishaps.
Forget contouring or strobing, the most crucial step in anyone’s makeup routine is achieving that perfect winged cat eye. Even as the beauty lover that I am, I have yet to master this art, and those who don a winged liner as their signature look still have their off days.
But this past February during New York Fashion Weeek, makeup artist Michael Patterson teased a new M.A.C product that will put an end to our liner struggles: the M.A.C Rollerwheel Liquid Liner.
This liquid liner is nothing like you’ve seen before. Closed, it appears like any other tube of liquid liner. But once uncapped, a marvelous little wand that resembles a mini pizza cutter is revealed. Instead of the usual brush or felt tip, its applicator is a spinning wheel, which draws on a precise thin line with the slightest roll and can draw a thicker line with added pressure, as seen on Michael’s Instagram. Mind blown.
For months all we’ve had were brief teases of this unique little makeup tool, but at last the Rollerwheel Liquid Liner is finally here. While it may not officially be available online at maccosmetics.com until August 17, a few luckly M.A.C fans across the globe have already been able to get their hands on it. And we have a serious case of FOMO going on right now.
In addition to On a Roll Black (a matte black) the liner will also come in three other shades; Rollin' Black Shine (a shiny black), Rollerwheel Brown (a warm brown), and Roller Royale (an eye-catching royal blue).
This glorious little liner will retail for $21 and it will also be available at all M.A.C locations starting September 14.
