This is the Secret Behind Rachel Roy's Good Hair
For the record, her beauty regimen involves no citrus.
Rachel Roy has been at the center of some surely unwelcome speculation this summer. (Oh, just this little album called "Lemonade." It's a long story.) But, Into the Gloss recently turned to lighter topics.
The beauty site talked to the designer about her head-to-toe beauty rituals, even uncovering the name of Rachel's "chic" dentist. Heads up: Apa is an "artist" with tooth veneers. Rachel also disclosed the details of how she cares for her hair. Which, you must admit, is pretty good.
First tip: lay off the dye. "I only colored my hair once, and I regretted it," she told ITG. You really have to make a commitment to maintain it." These days, Rachel gets glosses with colorist-to-the-stars Tracey Cunningham, and goes to Los Angeles salon Mèche for her cuts. The fashionista also confesses that she has a dry scalp, which she treats with 30-minute oil massages—and by only washing her hair once a week. (Cue the dry shampoo.) When it comes to styling, Rachel's a blow-out girl. She tends to get one once a week, and prefers braids or high ponytails if she's going for an up-do.
So, now you know Rachel's style secrets. Even if we'll never know who Becky is.
