Mandy Moore Got the Sweetest Tiny Tattoo for an Inspiring Reason
The actress now has a permanent reminder of an experience that changed her life.
Earlier this year, Mandy Moore checked an accomplishment off her bucket list that most of us can only dream of: The This Is Us actress hiked Mount Kilimanjaro. (Take a moment for awed silence.)
The bold undertaking made quite the impression on Moore, who's making an effort to incorporate the lessons she learned while trekking vertiginous heights into her day-to-day life. Previously, she's said:
"This journey was about so much more than simply checking off some item on life’s To-Do list ... I know that on days when I’m feeling especially overwhelmed with whatever lies in front of me, I can close my eyes, remember Kilimanjaro and pole pole [or move slowly.] Slow and steady does win the race."
To make sure that she never forgets the lessons she learned from her hike, Moore recently got a subtle tattoo on the side of her foot that depicted the moutain's outline with a sinuous line. "The mountain. Forever commemorated," she wrote.
The actress also thanked Los Angeles tattoo artist Winter Stone "for the reminder of what we accomplished."
