On July 29, Dr. Scott Metcalfe declared in an Instagram caption that he has "real love for" Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, adding via hashtag, "counseling works." Days later, the Married to Medicine couple shared a look inside their romantic trip to Napa Valley.

"Date Day," Contessa wrote via hashtag in an Instagram Story photo that showed her and Scott smiling while holding glasses of wine. In his own post, Scott gave a closer look at the wine and gorgeous views they enjoyed during their outing to Grgich Hills Estate. "I ain’t wine’in," he quipped in his caption. "Not with this sunshine smile [Contessa]."

Contessa also shared photos from their visits to Housley Napa Valley and Artesa Vineyards & Winery, captioning one post, "Wine a little, laugh a lot!"

The romantic trip comes after a rough patch for the couple. In Part 1 of the show's Season 8 reunion, Quad Webb revealed that Contessa had "filed for separation" from Scott, and Contessa explained that she and Scott were "working through" their issues. On a June episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she shared, "We started therapy two weeks ago, so I'm optimistic."
