Wendy Williams Shares That Her New Boo Is a Doctor, Not a Felon (Thankyouverymuch)
Wendy Williams told her audience she's off the market — and it's not with who you think.
After a wild summer break, Wendy Williams returned to her eponymous talk show on Monday and dropped a dating bombshell: She's no longer single, but she's not dating who you think.
“Well, I’m not on the market anymore,” she told her live audience. “I don’t know how I’m doing! I’m not in love, but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.”
During her hiatus, the self-proclaimed Queen of All Media was seen holding hands with Marc Tomblin, a 27-year-old ex-felon from North Carolina, at possibly pre-planned paparazzi hotspots from Los Angeles to New York City. But that's not who she's dating now, she clarified.
“All right, listen. It’s not who you think. Mother doesn’t deal with children,” she jabbed. “But it just so happens that I guess with my charm and wit I attract people of all ages. If you’re 27, like my new friend Marc."
The audience screamed.
"OK, relax!" she replied. "So here’s the deal. The paparazzi are chasing. [Marc is] from L.A. He came to New York, he had never been to New York before. And I am a hand-holder. If we go out, I am holding your hand. I went out last night for dinner with my executive producer David Perler and I held his hand. You all think I’m messing around with a 27-year-old — 27-year-old boys, quite frankly, do find me very attractive. I get it. But when it comes time for the comfort of a man, I need somebody in his 50s, too. And he’s got to work.”
Perhaps that means no more trips to the ATM with Tomblin.
She didn't show a picture of her new fella or say his name, but she did answer a few suddenly burning questions.
“It helps that he’s a doctor. I am not going to say one more word. You’re not going to blow this for me. But he’s been married, his kids are in their 20s. And yes, he’s black. I know you’re wondering.”
It's likely to be an emotional week for Wendy. According to Page Six, her son Kevin Hunter, Jr. will return to court Tuesday to address his May 22 arrest for punching his father, Kevin Hunter, in the face. Both Williams and her soon-to-be-ex-husband drove to their son's last court appearance with him, but they stayed in the car.
