Mandy Moore Stuns in Custom Brandon Maxwell at the 2019 Emmy Awards
The Bravo's Project Runway judge channeled Old Hollywood glam for the This Is Us star.
The stars shined bright at the 71 Primetime Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, but in a sea of standout red-carpet looks there was one starlet who caught our eye in particular. On September 22, walking smile Mandy Moore stepped out on television's biggest night wearing none other than Project Runway judge Brandon Maxwell and we can't believe how much Old Hollywood glam exists in one delightful ensemble.
The This Is Us star wore a custom Brandon Maxwell design that was an evolution of one of his looks from his most recent runway collection. For Spring 2020, Brandon created a line full of sunny optimism and chic Americana – so who better to showcase his vision for awards season than the walking smile that is Mandy Moore. The pink, off-the-shoulder, sweetheart neckline top featured voluminous sleeves and a drop collar back that gave the illusion of a relaxed button down shirt. The bubble gum-hued top was coupled with a tomato red, high-slit skirt that included a tailored cumberbund and long train.
Moore worked with stylist to the stars, Cristina Ehrlich to dream up the refreshing style. For her beauty look, Moore rocked high volume curls in her mid-length cut with a sultry smokey eye and blush pink lip.
The entire effect was giving us June Carter Cash meets Veronica Lake Old Hollywood and we are here for all of it.
For the afterparty, Brandon switched up Mandy Moore's style in favor of a sleek, streamlined version of her primetime look. She swapped her statement shirt for a tailored bandeau top and ditched her cumberbund for a night of partying.
