Meghan King Explains Why She Moved Back to St. Louis from California
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum also revealed her kids' reactions to the new house she just bought.
Though Meghan King spent years designing her St. Louis "dream home" — which she'd expected to live in with her then-husband, Jim Edmonds — things didn't go as planned. After splitting from Jim in 2019, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum spent some time renting property in Los Angeles. But in late November, the mother of three bought a home of her own in St. Louis, and she explained her decision on Instagram.
Standing inside her new digs, Meghan said in a video: "I bought this house because I wanted a home that was new — new-ish. It's four years old, that's manageable ... It's not too big and has a small yard, so I got that, and [I'm] closer to my parents because my parents are my world."
The St. Louis native continued: "My sister lives close-by too so they're able to come over and help and be around me and my kids and I can be around them and its just so — it's convenient and it's healthy and my kids are growing up with this huge extended family and it's a beautiful gift, especially that I'm able to live so close to them."
The new homeowner also captured her kiddos' reaction to seeing their bedrooms for the first time. Wandering into her closet, Meghan's daughter Aspen spotted some shelves and wondered aloud: "Are those where my shoes are gonna go?"
Next, the kids checked out Hart and Hayes' bedroom — and Aspen had just one critique. The four-year-old wasn't sure her brothers would go for the pink walls.
