Nene Leakes Comes for Eva Marcille: "You Were Licking Bottoms to Stay on Top"

There was no shortage of shocking moments during Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12 reunion. From Porsha Williams’ surprise receipt to Nene Leakes’ jaw-dropping reads, it was certainly an explosive start to the three-part reunion, which was filmed virtually due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Andy Cohen took a moment to reflect on everything that went down on the May 11 episode of his Sirius XM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, revealing that he felt a little guilty about the way one of the conversations was handled.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

When Nene Leakes and Eva Marcille got into an argument that lasted a little too long, Andy squashed the conversation by hitting the “mute” button on them. It was an incredibly effective tactic, but Andy explained that he’s a bit conflicted about it.

“There’s something that I felt guilty about, relating to the mute button,” he explained. “I was like, ‘oh my god,’ but like, at that moment, Nene and Eva were going after each other, you couldn’t tell, for like five minutes. Nene’s talking about that Eva was ‘licking bottoms,’ and I just couldn’t get it to stop. But I will say, it’s a quick way to get it to stop and move on. Hit that mute button, you know?”

Andy also offered up some insight on the one thing he would change about the reunion. He explained that all of the ‘Wives looked like they were part of a designed set, given their coordinating outfits and backdrops, and that he looked out of place.

“What’s wild is, all of their homes seem to be gray tones, which was interesting. And they’re all wearing white, so weirdly, it looked very set-designed,” Andy said. “I was watching it and I was like, ‘You know what? You should have done this from another location in your home.’ I felt like I should not have done it from the Clubhouse. I feel like I should have done it somewhere else, so I was a little regretful for that.”
