Austen Kroll is known to occasionally pop up on Summer House, and while he's yet to make an appearance on Season 8, the Southern Charm-er's name has still come up a few times in recent weeks.

Because as Ciara Miller continues to pursue her connection with newcomer West Wilson, she can't help but worry that the romance is going to go up in flames just as hers and Austen's once did.
"I think I'm scared of, like, it all blowing up in my face again," Ciara said on Summer House Season 8, Episode 6. "It makes it harder to put yourself out there because it's like, I was already embarrassed one time, you know?"
West, therefore, is not exactly a fan of Austen — and he made this clear on the Summer House After Show.

Reflecting on the fact that several Summer House cast members had brought up Ciara and Austen's past drama to him, West said, "I'm so f-cking tired of hearing that f-cking guy's name, it's unreal. Everyone brings him up all the time. [He] has nothing to do with me. [I] don't care. I know he f-cked [Ciara] up, f-cked her over, whatever, but why do I have to talk about it all the f-cking time?"
Fast-forward to the April 11 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, during which West revealed that Austen had DM'd him on Instagram about his comments.
What did Austen Kroll DM West Wilson on Instagram?
According to West, Austen messaged him about his comments from the Summer House After Show. "[He] was like, 'Dude, so sorry,' [and] lent a helping hand, and basically [we made] a quick little truce in the Instagram DMs."
From there, West and Austen even "exchanged a follow."
On WWHL, West further clarified his previous stance on Austen. "It's not even really him," he said. "It's everyone else."

Earlier on Summer House Season 8, Ciara revealed it's been "several years" since she's spoken to Austen. And while she's "way past" everything that went down between them, "I feel like, on TV, you can't live it down. The guy that you date sticks with you for literally f-cking ever. People still come up to me, they call you an idiot, they call you dumb. All this sh-t you were already kind of thinking about yourself."
