You’ll “Never Guess” Who Captain Glenn Shephard Unexpectedly Reunited With
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht captain’s surprise airport run-in with a crew member was not on his itinerary.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Captain Glenn Shephard has called first mate Gary King a member of his “dream team,” but he was wide awake when they recently had a totally unexpected airport run-in.
“You’ll never guess who I bumped into on the flight from LAX back to London,” Captain Glenn captioned an Instagram photo of himself with Gary on Saturday, December 10. In the post’s comments section, his crew member replied with three red heart emojis.
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht captain’s post also included several other shots he snapped once he landed in the United Kingdom. “Had the evening to take in the Christmas lights and window decorations at Selfridges and around Oxford, Regent and Carnaby streets,” Captain Glenn added in his caption. “It’s a bit chilly here, puts you right in the mood. Now home for a bit of R&R before I head back to Parsifal.”
His and Gary’s surprise reunion gave at least one yachtie some major FOMO, though. “I can’t believe you were in London and didn’t tell me!!!!!!!!!” Below Deck Mediterranean’s Courtney Veale commented.
Though Captain Glenn has yet to reveal any additional details about his off-duty meeting with Gary, he had no problem spilling the tea about his first mate’s behavior at BravoCon 2022. During the November 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he was asked to dish on the “drunkest Bravoleb” he saw at the three-day event in New York City.
“I think it would have to be Gary,” Captain Glenn revealed, prompting host Andy Cohen to acknowledge that the first mate was “pretty lit” at BravoCon.
Though he appeared to be traveling solo this time, Captain Glenn has been spending plenty of time globetrotting with his new girlfriend, Danelis. After jetting from Barcelona to Mexico City in November, the couple also recently enjoyed “playing tourists” in Spain’s Canary Islands and, later, visited some Christmas markets and drank hot spiced wine with friends in Paris.
Bumping into Gary in the airport, however, was not on the captain’s itinerary.
