Daisy Kelliher Reveals Why She "Can't Read" Gary King
The chief stew even asked Gary to "stop flirting" with her because she's so confused by their relationship.
When it comes to the status of Gary King and Daisy Kelliher's flirtatious relationship, let's just say that it's complicated.
After disagreeing about work during their first season together on Parsifal III, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht-ies shared a kiss together in the jacuzzi on Season 3.
Fast-forward to Season 4, and the First Mate and the chief stew are just trying to figure out where things stand. Daisy made out with deckhand Alex Propson after the first charter (when Gary was off the boat because he tested positive for COVID), and Gary subsequently made out with stew Mads Herrera following the second charter on the May 1 episode.
Before Mads and Gary had their moment together in the hot tub, Daisy asked the South African to "stop flirting" with her. The moment happened when the two took a cigarette break together while the crew was out to dinner.
"When you tell me to stay away from you, I kind of get the hint," Gary said, before wondering if Daisy did actually like him. "I mean, you wouldn't say that if you didn't mean some truth behind it."
Daisy, for her part, was confused by Gary's actions.
"Honestly, I can't read Gary. Like, I see the way he behaves with me, and you behave that way with every other single girl," Daisy said in an interview on the episode. "So, for me, it's kind of hard to take seriously."
Though Gary said that there's "always been a connection" between himself and Daisy, the two have repeatedly chosen to simply remain friends.
In fact, Gary's not the one Daisy can be seen kissing in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 trailer — and it's not Alex either.
The Ireland native will hook up with Gary's bestie/Parsifal III's esteemed chief engineer, Colin MacRae, at some point during the charter season. Viewers have yet to see the moment air on the show, but we do know that it will ruffle Gary's feathers.
"You know you like me, deep down, and I feel like you’re hooking up to get back at me,” Gary says to Daisy after she makes out with Colin. “Spitefully hooking up.”
