Meet Camille Lamb’s Deck-Stew Replacement, Tyler Walker
Find out how the St. David crew reacted when Tyler joined the boat on the January 30 episode.
The St. David crew has officially welcomed a new deck-stew on board.
After Below Deck Season 10’s initial deck-stew, Camille Lamb, got fired at the end of Episode 8, Captain Sandy Yawn introduced the interior and exterior crew team members to new addition Tyler Walker on the January 30 episode.
As bosun Ross McHarg gently put it, Tyler joined the crew “in the middle of chaos,” since the crew was already mid-charter when he arrived.

Who is Tyler Walker, the new deck-stew on Below Deck Season 10?
As viewers learned on the show, the newest St. David crew member hails from South Africa, and he has six years of yachting experience. His first role in the industry, which he took right after high school, was as a deck-stew.
While some decide to work on boats for the chance to travel and see the world, Tyler enjoys the yachting industry for a different reason altogether.
“I enjoy, in a very sick way, the weird parts of yachting that people would never think are enjoyable,” he said in an interview on the show. “Everything has an order that it has to be in.”
One of the “weird” things he loves is folding towels.
“I just think I’m a crazy person, to be honest,” he continued.
Tyler may think his love for housekeeping is strange, but the other interior crewmates are already enjoying his passion for folding.
After stew Hayley De Sola Pinto noticed Tyler’s aforementioned folding skills, she recognized that chief stew Fraser Olender would “love” him.
“Tyler is clearly amazing at housekeeping,” Hayley said. “He’s good at the things that I’m actually horrific at doing, so this is gonna work out really well.”
Plus, as Tyler said, he doesn’t need someone to tell him when to do something.
“I know what needs to be done. I don’t need people to tell me what to do,” he said in another interview. “I just need people to tell me when to stop doing it.”
Is he dating anyone?
Tyler identifies as sexually fluid, and he shared that he had a “crying fit” before he joined St. David because he left behind a boyfriend in Savannah.
Later in the January 30 episode, Tyler revealed that he asked his now-boyfriend to be exclusive when he was in the airport on the way to Saint Lucia.
How will Tyler fare on the superyacht? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
